The Challenge

Graber’s Custom Woodworking opened their doors in 2018 and experienced incredible company growth in the few years that followed. But the team struggled to get quotes back to their dealers in a timely manner.

It was a lengthy process for a customer to submit an order. First, the floor plans would be sent to Grabers, then, Marlin or someone from his team would process the quote and send it back to the dealer. Finally, the dealer would review the quote and would accept the quote or else request changes to the quote and the process would restart.

This process often took several days for the dealer to receive their quote. This caused frustration for the dealers and ultimately lead to missing deadlines and losing job opportunities.

The Solution

Another cabinet shop recommended Marlin to give Cabentry a try as they had seen great results using it. Marlin teamed up with Cabentry in October of 2019. Marlin started working with the Cabentry team to implement his custom catalog and noted he was glad to “get to know an awesome team”.

After finishing the catalog, Marlin started using Cabentry for quoting in house and gave Cabentry to his dealers so they could enter their own quotes.

The Outcome

After using Cabentry for two years, Graber’s Custom Woodworking has seen a major increase in their quoting and order entry process. Cabentry has allowed two employees in the office who used to work entirely on quoting to be repurposed on other tasks. Cabentry, along with utilizing a CNC to cut cabinet parts, has helped Graber’s Custom Woodworking double their sales with the same amount of employees!

For a small shop, this has had tremendous effects. Marlin said “I now have more time to focus on other areas of my business such as customer service.” He also noted that having Cabentry has helped him and his team by having “LESS stress, fewer phone calls, and fewer emails trying to collect and verify information. The end result – happier dealers!!!”.

An important goal for Graber’s Custom Woodworking is to be as efficient as possible with their work. Cabentry has been one tool that has helped them accomplish that. Marlin is looking forward to getting the Mozaik Software integration setup to see an even greater increase in efficiency.
